خرجت الاحد 22 فبراير 2015 مسيرة حاشدة في مدينة الحديدة دعا لها شباب الثورة ومختلف المكونات الثورية والحراك التهامي مؤيدة لما جاء في البيان الرئاسي من عدن الباسلة .
وردد المتظاهرون هتافات اعلنوا فيها صنعاء عاصمة محتلة من قبل مليشيات مسلحة .
المظاهرة التي جابت شوارع مدينة الحديدة رفع فيها المتظاهرون منشورات ولافتات دعوا فيها الرئيس هادي الى اعلان عدن او تعز عاصمة اتحادية لليمن بدلا عن صنعاء العاصمة المغتصبة من قبل انقلابين .
وطالب المتظاهرون رئيس الجمهورية بإقالة العقيد حسن الهيج المحافظ الذي تم فرضه على ابناء الحديدة بقوة سلاح المليشيات التي نصبته محافظا بعد عزلهم بالقوة المحافظ صخر الوجيه ، واعتبر ثوار الحديدة ان قرار تعيين الهيج محافظا للحديدة باطلا لكونه عين بقرار من الانقلابيين بعد شهر من انقلاب 21 من سبتمبر الماضي وطالب شباب الثورة كافة القيادات المجتمعية والاحزاب السياسية والقبائل في تهامة وكافة المؤسسات الحكومية بقطع علاقاتها مع من اسموهم بالانقلابيين في صنعاء والاتجاه نحو عدن حيث الشرعية الوحيدة المتبقية في اليمن ، واكد الثوار انهم ماضون في ثورتهم حتى تحقيق اهداف ثورة 11 من فبراير واسقاط الانقلاب.
